T B Morley and Co. was the business name used by Morco Products when it was established in 1792. Thomas Morley founded the Hull-based company, which is now well-known for its successful marine chandlery operations. William Gillett joined the company in 1815. Later, his son Henry transformed the company into a private limited company that traded in a variety of industries, including glass, plumbing, and electrical wholesale divisions that eventually led to the production of electrical light fixtures and other items.
After the 1940s, the mainstay of the company supplied significant organisations in the retail and wholesale sectors with lighting fixtures for use in commercial, decorative, and industrial settings as well as illuminating glassware. Morco advanced into the LPG market by the 1950s and rose to become the leading producer of gas light fittings for the caravan sector. Morco has maintained its position in the caravan market for the past 60 years and has expanded from distributing water heaters of all types to complete central heating systems.
